Ben Mayes and captain Thomas Rew have increased the run rate in an attempt to save England from embarrassment, but wickets continue to fall at regular intervals. Middlesex’s Caleb Falconer made an outstanding effort with 115 balls before his dismissal triggered a mini collapse of four wickets in 15 balls that put Middlesex on the brink of defeat; their total now stands at 285-10 after 50 overs, needing 431 runs from remaining 25 overs (and with Ralphie Albert run-out), leaving them needing 431 runs from 25 overs to pull themselves back out.
Ayush Mhatre 53 off 51

Regardless of this setback, Indian batters never faltered – always staying well ahead of their required run rate and never looking backwards.
As England pursue their target, they have struggled to match the required run rate. Ben Dawkins and Caleb Falconer have attempted maximums without reaching the required run-rate.
They need to up their pace quickly in order to remain competitive, and their players have responded by hitting four consecutive boundaries – Joseph Moores hit one over the covers followed by another one from Kanishk Chouhan – before hitting Joseph Moores for a six.

Although Caleb Falconer managed an admirable 115 off 67 balls – his fightback effort fell short by 100 runs as India gained an unassailable 6-1 lead and held onto their crown with another victory against Bangladesh on February 20th.
Vedant Trivedi 32 off 36

England had a golden opportunity for a run-out but Minto missed his target and was caught by RS Ambrish at short midwicket – this blow has hit them hard but they remain well ahead of their required run rate at this stage.
An incredible collision in the middle as Ralphie Albert is sent back by Falconer but Khilan Patel’s throw is so accurate and precise, taking easy capture by Ralphie Albert.
