1. T20I – 1st Match
New Zealand’s batsmen rallied from an uncertain start to post an impressive total of 190-7 in 20 overs, led by Amelia Kerr and Georgia Plimmer who created a stunning 146-run partnership in the second wicket to give New Zealand a commanding advantage at half time.
England openers Rachel Rowe and Jess Kerr failed to build on an encouraging start and were soon dismissed for single digit scores each. Sophie Devine proved her worth as a valuable member of the White Ferns batting line-up by scoring an unbeaten 87 from 55 balls, which included six fours and two sixes.
Devine was well supported by Maddy Green, who made 56 not out in a 159-run fifth-wicket stand with Devine and finished 56 not out herself. England’s bowlers struggled to contain run flow in the final overs; Bree Illing was hit for three sixes by Devine alone!
2. T20I – 2nd Match
England are hoping to gain momentum heading into the 2026 World Cup with a three-match T20 series against New Zealand, without Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Sophia Dunkley on board, however Charlie Dean has taken charge as captain of the White Ferns in their absence.
Sophie Devine became the first English player to score 7000 international runs with her half century in the second One Day International against New Zealand. Both teams gave her a guard of honour as she entered to bat. When walking out again they gave her plenty of hugs when walking out again to bat.
Illing bowled a full length inswinger that Capsey smashed through midwicket for four, opening her account and setting England on their way towards their highest T20I score ever. Capsey reached her milestone of 74 in 51 balls before adding another boundary in the next over to put England firmly in control – forcing New Zealand bat out their final over to avoid follow-on action.
3. T20I – 3rd Match
England dispatched New Zealand by five wickets to win the series with one game remaining, thanks to Alice Capsey and Amy Jones’ blistering performances against their Kiwi opponents. Capsey made her mark by hitting an astounding 74 off 51 balls; Capsey became an important factor as England raced home with almost six overs remaining in hand.
Devine receives a guard of honour as she departs, an accolade well deserved of this white-ball legend. This innings marks Devine’s final in ODI cricket, prompting many to give her warm embraces upon leaving the ground. Although initially she refused a guard of honour upon arriving to bat, later accepting it with smile and departing smiling with great service to Women’s Cricket!
4. T20I – 4th Match
After an even series in one-day internationals, England increased their preparations for the 2026 Women’s World Cup with three T20 matches against New Zealand. Though England lost the opening match, their White Ferns came back strongly against rain-hit final match to square the series at 1-1.
Alice Capsey made short work of England’s run chase, threading Mair for six in the fifth over before cutting Kemp for four to reach her half century off 51 balls – her first T20I half century unbeaten as they secured victory with almost three overs left on the clock. Devine received a standing ovation as she left the field; an honor well deserved for such a legend of women’s cricket.
5. T20I – 5th Match
England’s young players performed strongly despite the rain during the fifth T20I against New Zealand. Alice Capsey scored an unbeaten 74 from 51 deliveries while Sophie Dunkley struck three sixes and seven fours during an outstanding innings for England.
Nat Sciver-Brunt had to bow out due to a hamstring injury and Charlie Dean took her place as captain. Both teams gained valuable experience heading into the World Cup and got an opportunity to refine their squads during this series.
Devine received a guard of honor as she left the field, along with many hugs from fans and players alike. A true legend in women’s cricket, this marked an appropriate end to an amazing career and rest for this remarkable lady. 6. T20I – 6th Match
England was able to reach their 137-run target with just three wickets down, thanks to Alice Capsey and Georgia Kemp who led an unbroken 74-run stand to put England in control by half way point of their run chase.
Lauren Bell produced five wickets – including a hat-trick – to lead England to a 3-0 series win against New Zealand, marking Amelia Kerr’s completion of 2,000 ODI runs for New Zealand White Ferns while Sophie Devine retired after the match, receiving both teams’ respect as she left the field; receiving both guards of honour and warm embraces when leaving, it marked an exceptional ODI career from both teams; this result also ensured England retained top position in ICC Women’s T20I Rankings rankings!
7. T20I – 7th Match
After England had excelled at Derby, their capabilities were put under immense scrutiny here. Sophie Devine proved decisive as New Zealand were able to level the series through her record-setting innings of 87 off 57 balls scored by Sophie Devine.
She was ably assisted by Maddy Green as both batswomen dominated in scorching conditions, Green delivering six sixes and five fours in her innings alone.
At first, Sophia Dunkley and Heather Knight struggled to gain momentum, eventually both falling away quickly before Devine kept her nerve and hit Charlie Dean twice for sixes to maintain the pressure.
8. T20I – 8th Match
England seemed in control early, but Devine’s extraordinary innings proved otherwise. She hit two sixes off Charlie Dean before smashing through the middle order with devastating accuracy.
Nensi Patel was hit for four runs before she lofted another over the boundary rope to record her maiden T20I century against England. Both Knight and Bouchier struggled to keep up with the scoring rate but eventually achieved success by scoring some runs themselves.
But Devine rose to the occasion and hit three sixes and eight fours to put England in commanding position with seven overs remaining. Instead of receiving any guard of honour from either team, Devine instead was showered with lots of hugs from both. A fitting end to her remarkable career; England eventually prevailed by 137 runs to take 2-1 lead in their three-match series; Monday will mark its conclusion at Hove.
9. T20I – 9th Match
Sophie Devine scored an outstanding 87 from just 57 balls to help New Zealand achieve a competitive 170-5 and level the series. Together with Maddy Green she added 159 for the fifth wicket as they helped New Zealand stay competitive against Australia.
England openers Heather Knight and Sophia Dunkley both made early exits, giving the visitors an early lead in a run rate battle. Linsey Smith’s impressive 3-25 performance helped reduce the deficit to keep England within reach.
Freya Kemp made an outstanding diving stop to deny England four runs in the 20th over, showing promise for her home side who could improve with more consistent fielding practices.
10. T20I – 10th Match
New Zealand Women’S Cricket Team, based out of Auckland, New Zealand. They have won many international tournaments and currently rank third worldwide overall standing. Competing in One Day Internationals (ODIs), Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), and Women’s World Cup events respectively.
Devine receives an emotional guard of honour that she truly deserves for all she’s done for the game. She shakes hands with everyone present and even shared some warm embraces.
Sophia Dunkley strays with her next ball, cutting a wide one high towards Izzy Sharp at point for a boundary which helps maintain run rate but Knight and Bouchier cannot keep pace with it. Capsey threads Mair delivery for four runs to set England up for victory – no boundaries but they remain in control.
